Joseph Burch is an award winning writer and director from Morgan Hill, California. He graduated from USC's School of Cinematic Arts with a BA in Film and Television Production. During his time at USC, Joseph worked for Oscar nominated producer David Permut (Hacksaw Ridge, Face/Off), assisting him in the development and casting for The Investigation: A Search for Truth in Ten Acts, an off-broadway production starring Annette Bening, John Lithgow, and Kevin Kline.
After graduating, Joseph directed his first independent short film, Mare, which won Best Director, Best Horror Short, and Best Short Editor at the 2021 Austin International Art Festival. Joseph went on to work as a writer's assistant and research editor for novelist David Bender (I Am Spartacus! by Kirk Douglas, Stand and Be Counted by David Crosby), ghostwriting for a number of high profile celebrity biographies. Joseph currently lives in West Hollywood, where he works as a script reader for Watch This Ready (80 for Brady, The Climb) and Passenger Pictures (True Detective).
